Upgrade your Viewpoint ID to Trimble (without Azure AD)

If you are based in North America, take these steps to upgrade your Viewpoint ID (SSO) account to a Trimble account in order to continue logging in to Viewpoint applications.

Note: The steps on this page apply to you only if you are based in North America and you do not use Azure AD to log in to your Trimble Viewpoint solutions. If needed, please see Upgrade your Viewpoint ID to Trimble (with Azure AD).
  • You must have access to your email to complete the upgrade because the upgrade process sends an email with a validation code which you must retrieve and use.
  • You need to take these upgrade steps only once for your account.

The upgrade process starts automatically when you log in as you normally do using the Trimble Construction One login screen.

After entering your password and selecting Sign In:

  1. (Optional) Watch the video offered within the screen welcoming you to the upgrade process.
Note: If your company requires you to log in with multifactor authentication (MFA), a note appears just above the Next button instructing you to enable MFA when you create your Trimble Account.
    • If you do not see this note, MFA is optional for you.
    • If your organization requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) when signing in with your Trimble ID, do not use any of the Google, Apple ID, or Microsoft sign-in options.
  2. Select Next.
A Trimble account creation page appears with your email address placed by default.
  3. If you
    • do not have a Trimble account, proceed with step 4. This is the most common action.
    • already have a Trimble account, skip to step 5.
  4. Create a Trimble account:
    1. Enter your first and last name.
    2. Select Send Code.
A unique code is sent to your email, and the Verification Code field appears.
    3. Retrieve and enter the code in the Verification Code field.
    4. Select Submit.
    5. Create a password that meets the complexity requirements shown on screen.
    6. Select Submit.
      The Account Preferences screen appears.
    7. Confirm the Country, Time Zone, and Language field values.
    8. If you are required by your organization to use MFA, or would like to opt in, select Enable Multi-Factor Authentication and select Submit. Otherwise skip to step i.
Note: If you are required by your organization to use MFA and you do not set it up, subsequent attempts to log in to your application will place you in your Trimble account profile page where you must turn it on and set it up.
