Operator Maintenance
Use this screen to set up and maintain Spectrum operators and their default settings.

The number of tabs that display depends on other settings in the system. For example, the Jobs tab displays only if the Utilize job-based security checkbox is selected on the Job Cost Installation - Security tab.
Information you enter here overrides the general scheme settings on the Enterprise Installation screen for the individual operator in this company only.
Button | Description |
---|---|
New | Create new user record. |
Listing | Select to open the Operator Listing report launcher in a new tab. |
Password Policy | Switch to the Password Policy screen. |
User Counts | Opens a window displaying user counts. |
Search | Press Enter to see a list of all the operators who are set up in the current company, or use the drop-down arrow to narrow your search. |
Status Type | Filter the operator list based on assigned status. |

Edit | Edit an existing record. |
Delete | Delete a user record. |
Send an email within the Spectrum application. | |
Dashboard | Select to modify the dashboard layout for a user. Opens the Dashboard Layout Settings screen in a new tab. |
Favorites | Select to modify the menu for a user. Opens the Menu Builder screen in a new tab. |
Update Status / Type | Modify the status and user license type. |
Migrate Operators to Trimble Construction One | Create Trimble Construction One IDs for the selected operator(s). This enables the user to login and use Trimble Construction One applications like Team and Service Tech Mobile. |
Columns in the grid
Column name | Description |
---|---|
Logon ID | The ID assigned to the user. |
Entry of a unique email address is required when entering a new operator, or modifying an existing operator. | |
Migrated to TC1? | Indicates whether this user has been migrated to Trimble Construction One. |
User type | The user license type assigned to the operator. |
Code | The alphanumeric code that represents this operator. |
Operator name | Usually the operator's given names and surname. |
Default company | If you need to change the default company for an operator, select an operator, select the Edit button, and then select the Companies tab. |
Strong password | Displays Yes if the user's password meets the minimum standards for strong passwords, regardless if strong passwords are required. To view the current company's password policy, go to the Password Policy screen. |
Status | Many Spectrum screens allow you to filter the records based on the status type. |
Default scheme | The security scheme currently applied to the user. |
Profile | All users are initially set to DEFAULT. |
Contact type | Entry appears only if a contact record has been associated. |
