Markup Calculator

Use the markup calculator to define the markup for a cost item based on up to eight factors. The application calculates the total markup percentage based on the six percentage fields and two fixed amount fields.

Use Define Globals screen in the Define Estimate Globals or the Define Catalog Globals to customize the name for each field in the markup calculator. Customizing the markup fields can help you account for specific markup items across cost items. For example, if your base cost does not include transporting items to the job site, you could name one of the markup fields "Transport" to remind you to account for the transportation costs.

Note: To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
