Export estimate data to Vista

  1. Open the Manage Estimates screen and open the estimate job from which you want to export information.
  2. Select the Estimate tab.
  3. Click Estimating > Tools > Estimating Import/ExportTool in the All Tasks pane
  4. Select the Export tab.
  5. Select Vista.
  6. Click OK.
  7. In the Output File field, click to specify the file name and location for the exported file and click Save.
  8. In the Bid Item field, click to select the WBS code to export as the bid item information.
  9. Select the Bid Items as Cost Only checkbox to export the actual cost of the bid items, which includes extended unit cost and Allocated 2 (Overhead), but does not include profit or markup. Deselect the checkbox to export the extended adjusted cost for bid items.
  10. In the Phase field, click to select the WBS code to export as the phase information.
  11. Select the Phases as Cost Only checkbox to export the actual cost of the phase items, which includes extended unit cost and Allocated 2 (Overhead), but does not include profit or markup. Deselect the checkbox to export the extended adjusted cost for phase items.
  12. In the Vendor field, click to select the WBS code to export as the vendor information.
  13. Select the Whole Dollars checkbox to export dollar amounts in whole dollar increments.
  14. Select the Roll ELA Quantities to Parent for WBS checkbox to be able to determine quantity and unit of measure for an enterprise level assembly from the assembly members based on a selected WBS code. Deselect the checkbox if the estimate does not contain enterprise level assemblies. With the checkbox deselected, the export includes the man hours for the phase code and cost type combination (in field 8).
  15. If you selected the Roll ELA Quantities to Parent for WBS checkbox, the Select WBS Code field default to WBS Code 3. If needed, click to select the WBS code into which the application will roll enterprise level assembly quantities.
  16. Click Select WBS Codes.
  17. Complete the fields as described on the Select Parent and Children WBS Codes Screen Field Reference.
  18. Click OK.
