Insert a new field in an existing template

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. Click Estimating > Tools > Estimating Import/Export Tool from All Tasks pane.
  3. On the Import tab, select Estimate ASCII or Database ASCII.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Template.
  6. Click on the template you want to modify.
  7. Click Edit.
  8. Click Insert.
  9. Select a field and click OK. The new field will appear at the bottom of the list of field names.
  10. Click on the new field, and use the directional buttons on the right of the Field Name window to place it in the correct position.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Close.
  13. Click Cancel.
