Insurance Class screen

Use the Insurance Class screen to create and maintain the groups that classify employees for insurance coverage.

To open the Insurance Class screen, click Employees > Setup > Taxes & Insurance > Insurance Class in the All Tasks pane.

Each group is called a classification. Based on job duties, different groups of employees may have different workers' compensation rates; you need to create a separate classification for each of these groups. Your insurance provider probably set these classes when you purchased the insurance coverage. You can associate more than one type of insurance to a classification. For example, some groups of employees need both workers' compensation and general liability coverage.

All insurance classes are available throughout ProContractor. They are not tied to any single company.
