Enter Field Order screen

Use the Enter Field Order screen to create a field order document. Field orders are used to collect all the information needed to send resources like employees, equipment, and materials to a job site to perform work. You can enter a completed date and actual hours for a field order. Use the Enter Daily Field Report screen to record the actual resources used on the project. Use the Field Order Scheduler screen in conjunction with field orders to schedule resources.

When you add, modify, or delete an appointment on the scheduler board, ProContractor updates the field order with the appointment information. If you add, modify, or delete an appointment on a field order, ProContractor updates the scheduler board with the appointment information.

Use the Enter Field Order screen to create a PDF file of a field order form that you can view, print, or attach to an e-mail. ProContractor automatically attaches the PDF file to its associated record in a binder item.

Tip: You can use the Modify Forms screen to modify the format and layout of this form.

You must have the software required to open a PDF file—such as Adobe Reader—installed on your computer to be able to view it. You can also send an e-mail with the PDF file as an attachment. You must have MAPI-compliant e-mail software—such as Microsoft Outlook—installed on your computer to send an e-mail message with an attachment.

Note: To open the Enter Field Order screen, click Projects > Field Order Management > Enter Field Order in the All Tasks pane.
