Aged Open Items Report
The Aged Open Items Report provides a listing of the balance due from customers. A number of selections are allowed to provide the specific customers and jobs desired.
The dates used by the software for aging information are based upon the terms entered in the Customers screen as well as the dates on all invoices. Note that "30 days past due" will only equal "30 days from the invoice date" when the customer's terms are Net Due 0 Days.
The "current" balance is the portion of the account balance that is current (not past due); the "1-30" balance is the portion of the account balance that is one to 30 days past due, and so forth. The report now shows percent of balance due for each non-retention column: current, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, and more than 90 days overdue. If one or more G/L division codes are selected, and if the invoice is distributed to divisions other than those included in the total and the Show G/L divisional portion of open balance only checkbox is selected, an asterisk will display on the report.
The A/R Aged Open Items Report (including paid invoice) shows items paid in a period prior to being invoiced. If the payment receipt date is earlier than the period cutoff for the report but the transaction date of the invoice is later, then the item will appear (with the check number) on the report as a negative amount, facilitating balancing the A/R with the G/L. If one or more G/L division codes are selected and if the invoice is distributed to divisions other than those included in the total and the Show G/L divisional portion of open balance only checkbox is selected, an asterisk will display on the report.
