What's New in Viewpoint Analytics 2021 R4

This release provides a new Home page for Viewpoint Analytics, new fields for the RFI data source, a new data access option for Vista, as well as access to data from Vista projects that are not in Team.

New Home Page

The new Home page for Viewpoint Analytics provides easy access to reports in the My Reports or Public Reports folders as well as Standard Reports. In addition, from the Home page, you can create a report, easily view Help pages and video tutorials, or submit a suggestion.

New Data Access Options (Vista only)

With this release, if you use Vista, you can view data for Vista projects that have not been added to Team. In addition, this release provides a Data Access setting that enables you to view data for all projects in your ERP. With this release, if you use Vista, Data Access options on the User Management page have changed as follows:

  • In the Data Access field, selecting one or more business units now provides the user with access to data from all Vista projects in those business units, including projects, which have not been added to Team.
  • In the Data Access field, selecting All Projects (includes ERP) provides the user with access to data from all Vista projects in your enterprise, including projects, which have not been added to Team.
Note: For Vista projects that are not in Team, Viewpoint Analytics displays only projects with a Contract Start Date that falls within the last five years.

For details on all User Management settings, see User Roles and Data Access.

To review a video on the change to data access options for Vista, see View Data for all of your Vista Projects - Video.

New Fields in RFI Data Source

This release adds new fields to the RFI data source to enhance reporting for RFIs. For a complete list of fields for the RFI data source along with field descriptions, see Project Management: RFIs.

Reports Filtered by Active or Open Projects by Default

With this release, if you use Viewpoint Analytics with Vista or Spectrum, Viewpoint Analytics automatically filters reports to display only projects with a Job Status of "Active" (for Spectrum) or "Open" (for Vista). This allows you to view the most relevant data for your enterprise without clutter from projects that are no longer active. If you wish to vew data for projects that may have a different Job Status, you can modify the filter. For instructions on modifying filters, see Apply a Filter to a Field.
