Digitizing Modes: High Resolution vs. High Performance

Before you being digitizing, you should determine the digitizing mode: High Resolution mode or High Performance mode.

  • High Resolution - results in more accurate calculations by prohibiting all three vertices of a triangle from being from the same takeoff line unless that takeoff line surrounds the vertices. This mode can cause processing speed to decrease, especially for large jobs.
  • High Performance - by not imposing any triangulation restrictions, calculations are faster; however the results may be less accurate.

Each new job defaults to your selection in the Preferences screen, but you can change the mode at any time.

The mode displayed on the quick link bar is the mode you will change the job to if you click it.
