Adjust the Elevations by a Slope

Always apply slope to the elevations in order. For example, if you select elevations 3-7, the slope will start at elevation 3 and end at elevation 7.
  1. Use one of the following methods to select the elevations to factor:
    • Click on the first elevation to include and drag it over the last elevation to include.
    • Click on the first elevation to include, hold Shift, and click on the last elevation to include.
    • Click Select All to select all elevations listed.
  2. Click Slope.
  3. In the Elevation field, enter the value for the first elevation selected.
  4. In the End field, select one of the following options for how the slope is calculated:
    • Elevation: Enter the elevation for the final point selected.
    • Percent Rise: Enter the percent by which to change the slope. If you enter a negative number, the slope will decrease.
    • Slope: Enter the ratio for the horizontal and vertical aspects by which to change the slope. If you enter a negative number for either the horizontal or the vertical aspect, the slope will decrease. If you enter a negative number in both aspects or a positive number in both aspects, the slope will increase.
  5. Click OK.
