Make Bid Day Adjustments

Once you have created a bid day instance and selected the Use in Bid Day Adjustments checkbox for the financial cost items you want to use, use the Summary tab to make bid day adjustments. Adjust a bid day instance to view the effect of different cost scenarios on the bid totals and to apply those changes to financials. See Create a Bid Day Instance for information on creating a bid day instance.

Select the WBS levels to view, keeping in mind that bid day adjustments are made on the lowest selected WBS level. Adjustable fields appear highlighted in purple. Once you make the adjustments, the fields appear highlighted in peach with orange text. Click Apply to recalculate the financials and spread the new amounts accordingly. Fields that are changed in this process are highlighted in peach with black text in the Summary tab and in the Estimate tab.

Note: Changing the levels after you apply bid day adjustments will clear the adjustments.

The totals for the initial bid and the totals for the bid day instance are displayed at the bottom of the Summary tab, with the changed values highlighted. If needed, you can continue making and applying adjustments. You can also clear the adjustments.

While you can make changes in other tabs in the Manage Estimates screen, those changes are not specific to the bid day instance.

The cost item markup is not adjusted with the bid day instance changes.

To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
