Additional Field Management Mobile Settings

As part of your initial Field Management Mobile configuration, review the following portal settings. These settings are not critical but may be useful to your organization's needs.

Setting Description
Options for employee classes in app Allows you to customize how classes display for mobile app users. Enter the number (0, 1, or 2) for the setting that you want to use:
  • 0 = Read Only Class (users can view but not change the default class)
  • 1 = Editable Class (users can view classes on the mobile app and select a class other than the default for charging time)
  • 2 = Hide Class (classes are not shown on the mobile app)
Allow employees to enter time for crafts other then default Allows users to select a craft on the mobile app. If you leave this setting unmarked, users can charge time only to their default craft.
Disable Submission Signatures / Questions Allows users to submit time without having to sign their timecard or answer submission questions set up in Grid Timecard Settings.
Enable ability to clone timecard lines with hours Allows users to copy timecard hours from one timecard to the next. If you leave this setting unmarked, employee hours will be blank on cloned timecards.
Enabled Cost Codes for Mobile Allows you to limit the Mechanic cost codes available in the Field Management Mobile app. If you leave this setting blank, all cost codes will be available to mobile users. Enter Mechanic cost codes by company in the following format:
  • [Company:Cost Code]. For example: 1:2
  • Separate multiple cost codes with a comma and no spaces. For example: 1:2,3,4
  • Separate multiple companies with a semicolon and no spaces. For example: 1:10,20;2:10
Enabled JCCo’s for Mobile Jobs Allows you to limit the Job Cost companies available in the Field Management Mobile app. Separate multiple Job Cost companies with a semi-colon and no spaces. For example: 1;2.
  • You can only enter Job Cost companies that are already included in the portal setting Enabled JCCos for Portal Timecard Entry available under Admin > Portal Settings > Timecard > General Configuration.
  • If you leave this setting blank, the mobile app will default to the Job Cost companies entered in the portal setting Enabled JCCos for Portal Timecard Entry.
Prevent submission if time clock does not balance with timecard lines Enable this setting to prevent users whose clock-in and clock-out time does not balance with the time entered on their timecard. Time entered and clock-in/out times must all in the Field Management Mobile app.
