What's New for Administrators

With the Field Time Console 3.8.190 release, Enterprise Admins can set defaults for unapproved timecards, and Field Time Console administrators can specify labor and equipment cost types within the application.

Enterprise Framework Administration

Two new settings have been added to Enterprise Framework:

  • PreventUploadofCostUnapprovedTransactions: Prevents timecards that are not yet cost-approved from uploading to the back office by default.
  • PreventUploadofPayrollUnapprovedTransactions: Prevents timecards that are not yet payroll-approved from uploading to the back office by default.
If you prefer not to use these default options, you can exclude unapproved timecards manually during the upload process.

Field Time Console Administration

Customized Field Names Available from Right-Click Menus

If you Customize Field Names in System Modules, the new field labels are now available from right-click menus.

New Adaptor Configurations for Labor and Equipment Cost Types

Use the following new Adaptor Configurations to specify the labor and equipment cost types to send to Vista during the upload process:

  • EquipmentCostType
  • LaborCostType

After you upgrade to version 3.8.190, verify that the values shown for these new adaptors matches what was set up in the Web.config file in your previous version. For details, see Verify Upgrade Success.
