A package in Field View links the organization responsible for the work, the person(s) responsible for the work, and the trade that categorizes the work.

A package is a grouping of work typically performed by subcontractors. Each package in Field View is assigned to the organization doing the work. Each package is also associated with a trade, which is a type of work that can be performed on a project. Trades are created and assigned a set of standard task descriptions on the business unit level. Trades are then assigned to packages of work on the project level.

By using packages in Field View, you don't have to remember who is responsible for every task in the field. For example, if you configure a Carpentry & Joint package, you can create a task for that package and it will automatically be set to the responsible person.
