Assign a Cause to a Project

Assign existing system-level causes to individual projects.

Causes are used on tasks when you want the device user to select a reason that the task needs to be done.
  1. Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Current Business Is field, and that the correct project is selected in the Current Project Is field.
  2. Point to the Project Setup tab, then Assign, and then click Causes.
  3. To find system causes, use the Search pane in the Causes screen. Enter a search phrase in the Cause name contains box, and click Search.
  4. In the System Causes, select the check box next to one or more causes that you want to assign to the project, and then click .

The cause is assigned to the project and can be selected by the device user when there is a Cause field in a task.
