Log in to the Field View Android App and Grant Device Permissions

When you log into the Field View app the first time, you have to enter additional details to set up the connection and grant device permissions.

You need to confirm that your device has been added to a project through the Field View web application. You are assigned a device name and password for each project to which you have access. If needed, refer your administrator to Add a New Device to the Project.
Note: When you first open the Field View app, a message appears requesting permission to access the device storage. Follow the prompts to grant access.
  1. Open the Field View app on your device by tapping the Field View icon.
  2. Enter the Device Name assigned to you by your Field View administrator.
  3. Enter the Device Password assigned to you by your Field View administrator.
  4. In the Sync Server Location field, if a default value is not displayed, select the option closest to your location.
  5. Tap the Back button on your device.
  6. Tap Press to Sync.
  7. If a message appears about granting access:
    1. Click OK.
    2. From the App info screen, tap Permissions.
    3. From the Permissions screen, turn on both the Phone and Storage options to grant access to both.
    4. Tap the Back button twice to return to the Field View app.
    5. Tap Press to Sync.
The sync completes successfully. You can now log in to the Field View app.
As needed, you add connection details. In the Field View app:
  1. Tap
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Type your entries in the Connection Settings fields.
  4. Tap OK.
