Delete a Task from a Process

Delete a Task from a Process, given that the Process hasn't been assigned to a Location, or if it has, that the Task hasn't moved beyond its initial status.

Warning: Deleted Tasks cannot be retrieved. Please confirm you're working in the correct business unit or project each time you delete a Task from a Process.
  1. To delete a Process Task from a Business Process template:
    1. Select User menu > Business Setup > Business Processes.
    2. In the Ref column, select the Business Process template containing the Task to be deleted.
      You are directed to the Tree view of the Business Process template.
    3. Click the ellipses for the Business Process Task and select Delete.
  2. To delete a Process Task from a Project Process:
    1. Select User menu > Project Setup > Project Processes.
    2. Select the Process Setup view.
    3. In the Ref column, select the Project Process containing the Task to be deleted.
      You are directed to the Tree view of the Project Process.
    4. Click the ellipses for the Project Process Task and select Delete.
The Task is permanently deleted.
Depending on your Task naming convention, deleting a Task may create a need for one or more Task name changes.
