What's New 2018-R8
The eighth release of Viewpoint Field View™ for 2018 delivers enhancements to security, form schedules, and form templates, and includes fixes and usability improvements.
Improvements in Assigning Security Roles
Users must have high-level administrative permissions in order to assign high-level security roles to other users. User roles are designated in Field View Classic, under Business Setup > Security > Roles.
New Monthly Recurrence for Form Schedules
You can now schedule forms to be created on a monthly basis. When you add or edit a form schedule, choose Monthly in the Repeats field.Show Plans or Images in Reports
When generating a Tasks Report or Forms Report, you can now choose whether to show plans or images in the rendered report. Previously, plans and images appeared in these reports by default.New Drop-Down for Selecting Form Templates
To streamline the process of adding a Form or Form Schedule, a new drop-down has been added to Select a Form Template. Use this drop-down to select the template on which to base the form or form schedule. The new drop-down replaces the Form Templates field, which included a series of check boxes.Copy Project Improvements
When copying a project, you can now select to copy active business users, including their project-specific role, if applicable. Users without project-specific roles are assigned their business user role in the new project.In addition, the No. of Devices Allowed field, now obsolete, has been removed from the Copy Project window.
Fixes and Stability Improvements
A focus on fixes to improve usability and security, which includes addressing several customer-reported issues for web and mobile.
