Admin Role Descriptions

The following table provides descriptions for the administrative roles that you can assign on the Admin Roles page.

AdministratorTo add admin users, search for the user's name, and select the PR company and payroll group they should have admin permission to.
Personal Info AdminAllows users to approve or reject Personal Info requests, excluding attachments submitted via the Submit a Document section in Update Info. If you want Personal Info Admins to have permission to approve submitted attachments, you must also assign them the Document Admin role. For more information about this module, see Personal Information.
Note: Separating Personal Info Admins from Document Admins provides added security for employee attachments uploaded to the portal (for example, vaccination records or FMLA documents).
Document AdminAllows users to approve or reject attachments submitted via the Submit a Document section in Update Info. To allow Document Admins to approve other Personal Info changes, you must also assign them the Personal Info Admin role. For more information about this module, see Personal Information.
Note: Separating Personal Info Admins from Document Admins provides added security for employee attachments uploaded to the portal (for example, vaccination records or FMLA documents).
Benefits AdminAllows users to approve benefit and dependent requests and qualifying events, set open enrollments for individuals or large groups, and approve benefit elections.

Notify-Real TimeAllows Personal Info Admins to receive email notifications when requests are submitted (new requests are grouped and sent via a single email every 15 minutes).
Note: The Notify Real-Time option applies to Personal Info Admins only. Benefits Admins receive only daily notifications to prevent an excess of emails during open enrollment.
DailyAllows Personal Info Admins and Benefits Admins to receive the initial notification of a pending request. If the request is still pending approval after 24 hours, a second notification is sent.
Timecard AdminAllows users to access Timecard Settings, Safety Net, Manage Crew Layouts, Manage Crew Templates, Manage Timecard Roles, Timecard Dashboard, Employee Groups, and Approval Permissions. For more information about this role, see Timecards.
Timecard MoveAllows users to access Batch Timecard Move page for the PRCo's and PR Groups they have been assigned. For more information about this role, see Timecards.
Time Off CalendarAllows users to access the Time Off Dashboard without the ability to approve any time off requests.
Time Off AdminAllows users to access the Time Off Dashboard with the ability to review all time off requests. For more about this role and the Time Off Dashboard, see Time Off.
Notify VacationAllows the Admin to be notified when a Time Off request is approved or rejected. This Admin does not have to be a Vacation Admin in order to receive these notifications.
Bulletin AdminAllows users to access the Document Dashboard where they can create company announcements.

If the Document Library has been enabled, Bulletin Admins are also allowed to create documents for signature or acknowledgment and Library Items.
Security AdminAllows users to access the User Access page (for everything except the System Admin Column), Mail Log, Employee Groups, Approval Permissions, Login Auditing, Mange Lookups, and Mobile Data Security. The Security Admin receives emails when users have locked themselves out and is blind-copied on password reset confirmation emails.

If you do not want Security Admins to receive emails when users reset their passwords, enable the portal setting Disable Password Reset Notification for Security Admins found under (Admin > Portal Settings > Email Configuration > General Configuration).
Training AdminGrants administrative permissions to the Manage Training page. Training Admins can see, edit, and add Training and Skills. For more information about this role, see Training (Field Management).
Training Class AdminAllows users to create career paths and grants them access to the Training Class Dashboard where they can create and modify training courses and finalize submitted classes.
Expense AdminAllows users to access the Expense Posting Dashboard where they can post expenses to AP or Payroll. For more information about this role, see Expenses.
PR AdminAllows users to access the Paystub Tools page where they can print paystubs for past pay periods, schedule automatic paystub notices, send users SMS paystub notifications, and print annual tax documents.
Administrator SearchTo quickly search and filter for a specific Admin in your list, select the magnifying glass, and enter the name of the Admin.
