On the desktop, locate and select the shortcut to the portal updater.
A window describing new features opens.
Click Next to launch the Setup
Wizard.
Note: If the Setup Wizard does not launch, you may already
be using the most recent version of the portal.
In the first screen of the Setup Wizard, enter the
name of the server where the KDS-HRIM database is installed.
If you are unsure of the server name, open
SQL Server Management Studio to navigate to the database and determine
the server name.
If you cannot connect to the server with
Windows credentials, select Windows Trusted
Connection in the Setup Wizard screen. Otherwise, select
SQL Server
Login.
Note: The credentials you use must have System
Admin Roles for the SQL server where the KDS-HRIM database is
installed.
Click Next.
In the next screen of the Setup Wizard, enter the
name of the server where your Vista database resides. This is often the same
server where the KDS-HRIM database is installed.
If you are unsure of the server name, open
SQL Server Management Studio to navigate to the database and determine
the server name.
If you cannot connect to the server with
Windows credentials, select Windows Trusted
Connection in the Setup Wizard screen. Otherwise, select
SQL Server
Login.
Click Next.
In the Setup Wizard, the Select installation
folder screen opens. You can install to the directory shown, or navigate to a
different directory.
