You can set a default status on a Site, Project, or Container so that Status is auto-populated for all items that are uploaded into the Site, Project, or Container.

This default also applies to items uploaded via 4Explorer and 4Outlook.

1. In the main navigation tree, right-click on a Site, Project, or Container and go to Configure > This Container.
2. From Default Status, select the status that you would like to auto-populate to all new items in the Site, Project, or Container.
3. Click Finish.

The selected status is the default for all new items, but you have the option to change it to another one of the assigned statuses for that Site, Project, or Container when uploading.
