There are several methods of uploading files, and some methods may work better than others under certain circumstances.

If you are not able to install the Plugin on your system, uploading an unregistered file to your personal container is a suitable method. Both methods provide a progress bar to track the progress of your upload. For more information on uploading and registering a file from your personal container, click here.

The standard add new item dialog works for large uploads as well, but it is does not provide any feedback as to the upload progress.

All uploads via any method need to be completed within the time-out limit of 60 minutes. In addition, the maximum file size accepted by the server is 2GB.
