Optimal Browser Setup

Because VFP has some features that integrate with other programs on a user's machine, it is important to configure some browser and application settings to allow these features to perform optimally.

  1. Due to new security measures introduced by Microsoft in Internet Explorer 11, the VFP domains need to be added to the Local Intranet zone in your browser:
    1. Open Internet Explorer and click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
    2. Click Internet Options and select the Security tab.
    3. Navigate to Trusted sites > Sites and remove anything 4Projects or Viewpoint related.
    4. Navigate to Local intranet > Sites > Advanced and add *.4projects.com, *.viewpointcs.com, and *.viewpoint.com.
    5. Deselect Require https if necessary.
    6. Press Ctrl + F5 to refresh the page if you are in VFP.
  2. Add an exception for VFPs to your pop-up blocker:
    1. Open Internet Explorer, and click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
    2. Click Internet Options and select the Privacy tab.
    3. Under Pop-Up Blocker, click Settings.
    4. Add *.4projects.com , *.viewpointcs.com, and *.viewpoint.com to the list.
    5. Click Close, then click OK to close the Internet Options window.
