IFC Viewer Toolbar

The IFC Viewer provides a toolbar of options for working with the model.

X-Ray Mode makes the walls of the model transparent.

Reset View reverts the model back to the original position

Orbit Mode allows you to move the model around a fixed point in the center of the model. To move the model, hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse.

Fly Mode allows you to move the model around you. To move the model, hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse.

Walk Mode allows you to fix the model to the nearest horizontal axis.

Show Overview Map shows (or hides) a miniature map of the model. This is particularly useful if you have zoomed into a specific area of the model, because the map shows where you are in relation to the entire plan. Use the icons within the map to display a 2D or 3D view of the model overview image, shrink or expand the image, or show plan layers.

Link Selection to Item(s) allows you to link a selected section of the model to another item in Viewpoint For Projects™.

Open Selection Tools clips your model back along either the X, Y, or Z axis.

Open Measurement Tool allows you to take measurements of the model or to configure measurement options (for example, snap to corners).

Save Current View saves the current view of the model so that you can come back to it later. You can access saved views on the BIM Home page or within the Multi-Purpose panel of the IFC Viewer.

New Task allows you to add a new task to your model.

Go Fullscreen displays the Model Viewing panel over the entire screen area. Press Esc to revert back.

Viewer Preferences allows you to change the background color, camera movement speed, and interactive draw quality. scroll, and walking speed.
