Register Items and Move to Another Container

You can simultaneously move items from your personal container to another container and register them so they will be visible to other users who have access to that container.

  1. Right-click on your Personal Container in the navigation tree.
  2. Select the files that you want to move by clicking in the column next to each file. To select multiple files, hold down CTRL and click, to select multiple fileswhile clicking.
  3. Click the drop down in the toolbar at the top of the page and Register Select Item(s).
    The Multiple Document Upload dialog appears. Each row in the dialog represents a document.
  4. Optional: Select the items that you want to merge, and click Merge Selected Files to merge several items into a single item.
    Warning: By default, all items in Multiple Document Upload are selected, so ensure that you deselect any items you do not want merged.
  5. Click the Select Location link next to each item and select where the item should be moved. Once the location is selected, it will display in the Selected Location column.
  6. Use the remaining columns in the dialog to enter information about each item. For example, enter a Name, Description, and Status on each item.
  7. Select the Remove from Personal Container check box if the items should be removed from your personal container when they are moved. If you do not select this check box, the items will stay in your personal container and will be copied to the new locations.
  8. Click OK.
