What's New in VFP 2020-07 - December 2020

The seventh release of Viewpoint For Projects™ in 2020 delivers further authentication framework for future migration to Viewpoint ID.

A list of Bug Fixes is also available.

Web Enhancements

  • ViewpointID - Major framework has been established in previous releases to support the shift to Viewpoint ID. Viewpoint ID provides a centralised authentication service and consolidates all accounts under the same email address.

This future migration represents a giant step towards platform integration across the Viewpoint and Trimble product ecosystem. We’re now asking you to make your account compliant in readiness for this move, which will take place during H1 in 2021. Follow the simple prompt at log in to validate and link your account(s) to an email address, and set a new password of sufficient complexity. For more information, see here.

  • File Bundling- File bundling has been implemented to create and serve .zip files when downloading multiple documents.

About Viewpoint Help

Viewpoint introduces Viewpoint Help, a new help website that gives you access to comprehensive product documentation from a single location. Please visit Viewpoint Help and click the banner to send us your feedback. For more information, see About Viewpoint Help.

Important: Once Viewpoint Help officially launches for VFP, clicking help in Viewpoint For Projects will open the Viewpoint for Projects page in the new Viewpoint Help website. At that time, any bookmarks to pages in the existing Help you have saved will redirect to the Viewpoint for Projects page in Viewpoint Help. From there, you can navigate to the Help page you want, and create a new bookmark.
