Job Requisition Fields
The following table provides descriptions for the fields shown on the Create Job Requisition page.
Access this window by selecting New Requisition button in the upper right of the page. For help setting up job requisitions, see Create a Job Requisition.. Then select the
|Job Category||The job category that you select determines:
|Job Template||The job template that you select determines:
|Pay Range||The salary range for the job. Pay ranges display on posted job requisitions, making them visible to job applicants.|
|Position Title||The job title. Applicants will see this name on your careers page.|
|Total # of Openings||The number of openings available for this position. This number is for internal use only.|
|City, State, Country||The location of the open position.|
|Salary Interval||The salary interval associated with this Job
Requisition (for example, Hourly or Salary).The available options in
this drop-down are determined by a VA Custom Field Combo Box in Vista.
This information is for internal use only, unless the portal setting
Conditionally show Salary Interval on Careers / Job
Detail is enabled.
Note: The Combo Box must be assigned to the portal setting Salary Interval Combo Box from Vista.
|EEO Job Category||Allows you to assign an EEO Job category to the job requisition. This drop-down pulls from your PR Occupational Categories in Vista and is for internal use only.|
|District & Job||
Allows you to assign a District from your Job Cost Departments in Vista which limits the Jobs to those assigned to that District. Internal Only.
Note: District and Job displays only if portal setting Hide District (Dept.) and Job Fields on Job Req is disabled. Only Departments and Jobs will appear for Job Cost Companies assigned to portal setting JC Companies for ATS Job / JC Departments Assignment.
|Anticipated Close Date||The date the job requisition is expected to close. If configured, recruiters can receive a reminder email as this date approaches.|
|Automatic Unpost Date||The date you would like the job requisition to be removed from the external careers page. If you leave this field blank, the job requisition will remain on the external careers page until it is unposted.|
|Application Instructions||Instructions you would like to provide for candidates on how to apply. This information is posted under the heading Application Instructions on the external job details page for candidates to see before applying.|
|Position Description||Details on the available position. This will be posted under the heading Position Description on the external job details page for candidates to see before applying.|
|Requirements||Description of requirements for this position. This will be posted under the heading Requirements on the external job details page for candidates to see before applying.|
|Equal Opportunity Employer||Any detail you would like to provide about
your company’s or this position’s Equal Opportunity status. This will be
posted under the heading Equal Opportunity

Note: This field defaults from the portal setting Default Equal Opportunity Text but can be modified on the Job Requisition Detail page or on the job template.
