Grid Timecard Access and Portal Settings

To begin configuring your portal's Grid Timecard access, you must follow the steps below.

You must be a System or a Security Admin to complete this configuration.
  1. To configure the Grid Timecard, the Timecard Admin must have permission to the Grid Timecard. To assign access to the Grid Timecard, go to Admin > User Access, and filter the Module Bundle drop-down field as follows:
    • For HR Management, filter by Self Service, and then select the check box for HR Grid Time. This selection gives the user access to the Grid Timecard as an HR Management feature. Users who enter time will only be able to enter for one user.
    • For Field Management, filter by Crew Timecard, and then select the check box for FM Grid Time. This selection gives the user access to the Grid Timecard as a Field Management feature. Those entering time will be able to enter for multiple users. Users approving time through Job Approval will need FM Grid Time access.
      Note: You will want to return to this page when you are ready for users to start entering time.
  2. For Portal Settings specific to the Grid Timecard, go to Admin > Portal Settings > Timecard > Grid Timecard. Select the setting name to see details on the setting before enabling / configuring.
  3. If you have users who will be entering time on behalf of others they will need to have permission to enter for those users. To make that assignment, go to Admin > Approval Permissions and assign the appropriate groups the “Can Enter Timecard(s) For” or “Can Enter Timecard(s) For (Hide Timecard History)”.
