Rename Tools

Administrators can rename tools as they appear on the tabbed navigation bar and throughout Team (30-character limit) by going to Admin Center > Modules > Settings > Rename.

Note: Renaming tools extends across your enterprise for all business units and projects.
  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner and select Admin Center.
    Note: If you don't see Admin Center, you have not been set up as an administrator. Contact your System Administrator for assistance.

    If you have more than one enterprise, select it from the Admin Center list.

    The selected Enterprise tab appears.
  2. From the Enterprise tab, click the Modules tab in the left-hand column, and then select Settings.
    The Module Settings page appears.
  3. Click in the row for the tool or work item you want to rename, and select Rename.
    The Rename Tool window appears.
  4. In the New Name field, enter the preferred name for the tool.
  5. Click Save to save your change.
The updated tool or work item name appears updated on the Module Settings page and throughout your enterprise for all business units and projects.
