Configure your Enterprise: Stand-alone

Configure your enterprise to get up and running with Viewpoint Team™.

Note: Before configuring your enterprise, make sure to consider your desired Business Unit structure in Team and how those Business units will apply to projects.

If you plan on integrating Team with Vista, Spectrum or Jobpac now or in the future, be sure to consider how the Business Units will map to Companies/Cost Centers in those systems.

Note the following:
  • In Team, once you apply a Business Unit to a project, that setting cannot be changed.
  • If you have multiple projects within one Business Unit, when you integrate Team with Vista, Spectrum, or Jobpac those projects cannot be distributed across different Vista Companies, Spectrum Cost Centers, or Jobpac Companies. This means, when configuring your enterprise, if you know that some projects will need to apply to different Companies or Cost Centers, be sure to create separate Business Units for those projects.
  • Multiple business units can be mapped to a single Vista Company, Spectrum Cost Center, or Jobpac Company.

It's a good idea to decide your company’s financial structure prior to completing the initial setup! Then you can create Team Business Units to replicate that structure.

Once you have been set up by Viewpoint with a new Viewpoint Team™ enterprise, you will receive an email notification with a link to confirm your email and configure your account. Once your account has been set up you will be stepped through the process for setting up your Viewpoint Team instance.
  1. From the email notification, click the Confirm Email and Configure Account link.
    The Viewpoint Team Configure New Enterprise page opens in an internet browser window.
  2. Create an admin account by entering information into the following fields:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Create a Password
  3. Click Create Account.
    You are logged in to Team as an Admin. Team opens to the Admin Center where you can walk through the Enterprise Setup wizard.
  4. Follow the steps shown in the Welcome to Enterprise Setup section in the right-hand column to create a business unit, add users, and create a project.
    Click the first tab in the setup section to get started. Follow the instructions on each page, and then click Next to continue to the next step.
When you have completed the setup wizard, the dashboard for your project appears, and you can begin using your project.
