The Data Entry menu is used to
      record invoices as they are received. Invoices can be tracked optionally through Unapproved
      Invoice Processing, and routed automatically to reviewers for approval. Options are available
      for correcting invoice entry errors. Typically, invoices are entered and updated, then later
      paid. In addition, credit memos, recurring invoices and subcontract progress billings can be
      created and processed. Payments can be made by issuing regular check or by manual or pre-paid
      checks. Issued checks may be voided.

Data Entry Overview

If an invoice is posted to G/L in July, reversal posts to G/L
        in Aug, when performing a reversal, you might find you don't have the option to
        automatically move both items to history. This is because a G/L transaction is required.
        Below is an example of the accounting process if the reversal performed manually in August
        for an invoice entered in July:

            <ul class="ul"><li class="li">All users will see the most up-to-date <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help content and be aware of new features available in the latest versions of the software.</li><li class="li">It provides one location to find all information on tax updates, cloud deployment options, integrations, etc.</li><li class="li">It provides a single, canonical source for <span class="keyword">Vista</span> content online, enabling search engines to display only the latest information.</li><li class="li">It eliminates the chances of finding outdated or irrelevant information.</li></ul>

<span class="keyword">Viewpoint Help</span>? </h2>
            
            <p class="p">Coming Soon: All versions of <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help
                prior to 2021 R1, which are on separate, standalone sites, will be redirected to the
                    <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help home page on <span class="keyword">Viewpoint Help</span>. This change is planned for
                September 26, 2023.</p>

            <p class="p">For all users on versions 2021 R1 and forward, pressing F1
                continues to open the related Help article as it has in the past. For anyone using a
                version prior to 2021 R1, pressing F1 will open the <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help home page on <span class="keyword">Viewpoint Help</span>.</p>
        </section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Do bookmarks to <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help pages still work?</h2><p class="p">No, they don't. For users on all versions of  <span class="keyword">Vista</span>, you will need recreate your bookmarks on <span class="keyword">Viewpoint Help</span>.</p></section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Did we lose access to historical information like release notes?</h2>
            
            <p class="p">Though outdated versions of <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help are no longer available, a record of release notes from version 6.17.0 forward will be available. There are also PDF copies of older release notes available on the Customer Support Portal.</p>
            <p class="p">If you are running a legacy version of <span class="keyword">Vista</span>, in some cases, you may see a discrepancy between the software and the Help content. However, we'll ensure that when you open the Help, either by pressing F1 or browsing from the <span class="keyword">Vista</span> Help home page, you will continue to find relevant information when you need it.</p>

            <p class="p">Just as we did with the prior online Help system, with each release, we'll outline the new features and provide any new information you need to know to successfully use your <span class="keyword">ProContractor</span> application.</p><p class="p">A few things you should know about the new Help:</p>

                    <p class="p">To retain up-to-date contextual Help functionality, please upgrade to version 4.3.0 (and higher, once available) as soon as is feasible for your organization.</p>

                    <div class="p">All the information contained in Installation Guides and other PDF guides is now available and up-to-date here, in the Viewpoint Help, rather than provided as downloadable PDFs at the Viewpoint Customer Portal.<div class="note note note_note"><span class="note__title">Note:</span> If you require a printed version of any Help page, you can generate a PDF or print a single Help page or an entire section of the Help at any time.</div></div>
                </li><li class="li"><span class="ph b">Reports Book</span>
                    <div class="p">Help pages for ProContractor Reports are now sorted alongside related topics. For example:<ul class="ul"><li class="li">the Help page for the Vendor Invoices by Project report is among the Help for the Vendor Module.</li><li class="li">The Profit Center Billing report Help page is within the Customer Module Help.</li></ul></div>

        </section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Autocreate Invoices for Garnishments</h2>
            <p class="p">You can now automatically create vendor invoices when updating payroll for things like garnishment payments. This greatly streamlines the process of preparing checks at the end of the payroll cycle. </p><p class="p">You can also view the vendor invoices created from payroll activity. This view includes the company, vendor, invoice number, employee name, as well as check, deduction, and fringe information - and you can export all of it.</p>

        </section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Reverse a Posted Journal Entry</h2><p class="p">If you notice an error in the debit or credit amount fields after you’ve posted your journal entry, you can now reverse the posting without having to re-enter any of the data.</p>
        <p class="p">The new Create Reverse Journal Entry screen shows you the information you entered and displays the changes that the reversal is about to make  to the debit and credit amounts. Later, when you run the report, the selected posting batch details are displayed in the new Journal History Report. <span class="keyword">ProContractor</span> tracks the change in the journal sequence after the change is posted.</p><p class="p">For more information, see <a class="xref" href="/procontractor/procontractor/screen-reference/screen-reference/financial/financial-module/journal-screens/reverse-a-journal-entry">Reverse a Journal Entry</a>.</p></section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Invoice Number Corrections</h2>

You can use it to perform quick searches to confirm whether the vendor you're about to create already exists.</p></section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">Easier-to-find Certified Payroll Information</h2><p class="p">With this release, even more certified payroll information is viewable  in the View Project Setup screen. A new <span class="ph uicontrol">Certified Payroll</span> checkbox and a new <span class="ph uicontrol">Certified Payroll Start Date</span> field now appear in the Payroll tab, alongside the certificate and policy number fields.</p></section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle">New Blank Line in Timecard Entry</h2><p class="p">In addition to the current ability to add a duplicate line when entering timecards, you now have the option to add a blank line.</p><p class="p">You can now fill in the  details relevant to the project, without first having to clear pre-filled values from a duplicated line.</p></section></div></article></main></body>

                    Preferences</span> option. All users are required to set notification
                preferences by default. At least one notification preference (email address or phone
                number) is required.</p>

                located under the new <span class="ph menucascade"><span class="ph uicontrol">Admin Settings</span><abbr title="and then"> &gt; </abbr><span class="ph uicontrol">Notification Settings</span></span> section. If you enable this setting, employees have the option to
                mute notifications using a checkbox on their <span class="ph menucascade"><span class="ph uicontrol">Notification
