Move a Folder

You can move a folder and its contents using drag and drop to reorganize folders within Viewpoint Team™ by going to Projects > Documents.

If you move a folder, all contacts who have been direct access to the folder still have access to the folder. Any contacts who had inherited access to the folder can no longer access the folder.

You can also move multiple documents and folders at one time. See Move Documents and Folders.

  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Select the Documents tab.
  3. In the left-hand pane, navigate to the folder you want to move.
  4. Click, hold, and drag the folder to its new location and release to place it there.
    Valid locations for the folder display a green background as you hover or pass over them. Invalid locations display a red background.
The folder is moved to its new location.
