Issue Fields
The issue fields contain the details of the issue, including what is needed, who is completing the information, and when it is due.
Field | Description |
---|---|
State | When adding an issue, you can select the initial state of the issue to indicate Assigned, Open, or Draft. |
Type | Select the issue type from the list to be able to sort and filter by type later. Depending on the project settings, The type may default and/or the To field may be filled in automatically based on the issue type. |
Number (Required) | Enter a unique identifier for the issue. Depending on the project settings, the issue number may generate automatically. |
Title (Required) | Enter a title for the issue up to 60 characters. |
Description | Enter a detailed description of the issue. |
Priority | Select the option for the priority of the
issue.
Depending on the project settings, the priority may determine the default due date. |
Responsible Party | Select the person to whom you want to send the
issue. Depending on the project settings, this field may default based
on the selected issue type. To filter the list of contacts:

Due Date | Enter the date you want a response to this issue. This date defaults based on the project settings and may be determined by the priority. |
Assign To | Select the person to whom you want to assign
to answer the issue. To filter the list of contacts:

CC | Select the names of contacts who should
receive a copy of the issue. To filter the list of contacts:

Status | Select the status of the issue. |
Reference | Enter reference information for the issue. |
Spec Section | Enter the first few characters of
specification section related to the issue and select it from the list.
To add a new section, enter the complete specification section up to 20
characters and click |
Drawing | Enter the first few characters of name of the
drawing related to the issue and select it from the list. To add a new
drawing, enter the complete drawing name up to 60 characters and click

Change Impact - Schedule | Select the check box to indicate that the
project schedule could be impacted by the information in the issue or
change made due to the issue. When you select the check box, two fields appears. In the first field, enter the number of days by which the schedule is impacted. In the second field, enter additional information about why this area could be impacted, up to 60 characters. |
Change Impact - Cost | Select the check box to indicate that the
project cost could be impacted by the information in the issue or change
made due to the issue. When you select the check box, two fields appears. In the first field, enter amount by which the project cost is impacted. In the second field, enter additional information about why this area could be impacted, up to 60 characters. |
Change Impact - Drawing | Select the check box to indicate that the project drawings could be impacted by the information in the issue or change made due to the issue. |
Notify Recipients | (Available once a work item has been created, and enabled by default.) If you do not wish to send email notifications to the reviewer and those included in the CC field, you can clear the Notify Recipients check box. |
