Bulk Edit Issue Fields

The bulk edit issue fields allow you to modify details that are common to all the selected issues, including what part of the project the issues relate to, who is completing the information, and when it is due. You can only modify certain fields using bulk edit.

Field Description
Issue Type Select the issue type from the list to be able to sort and filter by type later.
Responsible Party Select the person to whom you want to send the issues. Depending on the project settings, this field may default based on the selected issue type.

To filter the list of contacts:

  • Enter the first few letters of the contact's name to filter the list.
  • Select Team Contacts to filter the list to contacts in your enterprise.
  • Select PM Firm/Spectrum Contacts to filter the list to just contacts from your ERP system.

To add a Team user (someone who has a Team user account), enter the full email address associated with that user. Note this is not required if your enterprise is configured to limit contacts to Vista PM firms.

To add a new contact, select New Contact.

Assign To Select the person to whom you want to assign to answer the issues.

To filter the list of contacts:

  • Enter the first few letters of the contact's name to filter the list.
  • Select Team Contacts to filter the list to contacts in your enterprise.
  • Select PM Firm/Spectrum Contacts to filter the list to just contacts from your ERP system.

To add a Team user (someone who has a Team user account), enter the full email address associated with that user. Note this is not required if your enterprise is configured to limit contacts to Vista PM firms.

To add a new contact, select New Contact.

CC Select the names of contacts who should receive a copy of the issues.

To filter the list of contacts:

  • Enter the first few letters of the contact's name to filter the list.
  • Select Team Contacts to filter the list to contacts in your enterprise.
  • Select PM Firm/Spectrum Contacts to filter the list to just contacts from your ERP system.

To add a Team user (someone who has a Team user account), enter the full email address associated with that user. Note this is not required if your enterprise is configured to limit contacts to Vista PM firms.

To add a new contact, select New Contact.

To remove a contact from the CC list, click next to the contact.

Due By Enter the date you want a response to the issues. This date defaults based on the project settings and may be determined by the priority.
Priority Select the option for the priority of the issues.
  • Low
  • Medium
  • High

Depending on the project settings, the priority may determine the default due date.

Spec Section Enter the first few characters of specification section related to the issues and select it from the list. To add a new section, enter the complete specification section up to 20 characters and click New Spec Section.
Drawing Enter the first few characters of name of the drawing related to the issues and select it from the list. To add a new drawing, enter the complete drawing name up to 60 characters and click New Drawing.
Status Select the status of the issues.
Change Impact - Schedule Select the Change Impact check box and the Schedule to indicate that the project schedule could be impacted by the information in the issue or change made due to the issue.

When you select the check box, two fields appears. In the first field, enter the number of days by which the schedule is impacted. In the second field, enter additional information about why this area could be impacted, up to 60 characters.

Change Impact - Cost Select the Change Impact check box and the Cost check box to indicate that the project cost could be impacted by the information in the issue or change made due to the issue.

When you select the check box, two fields appears. In the first field, enter amount by which the project cost is impacted. In the second field, enter additional information about why this area could be impacted, up to 60 characters.

Change Impact - Drawing Select the Change Impact check box and the Drawing check box to indicate that the project drawings could be impacted by the information in the issue or change made due to the issue.
Notify Recipients (Available once a work item has been created, and enabled by default.) If you do not wish to send email notifications to the reviewer and those included in the CC field, you can clear the Notify Recipients checkbox.
