Set a Default View for a Work Item

You can set a view as your default view for the list of work items by going to Grid Settings > Set View as Default. The default view is always selected when you open the work items list for any project.

Each individual can set their own default view.
  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Click the tab of the work item type you want to work with (submittal, RFI, issue).
  3. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Save button and select the view you want to apply.
    You can also click in the Search field and begin typing to filter the list of saved views.
  4. Click the Grid Settings button and select Set View as Default.
The selected view is now your default view for the list of work items.
