Configure Daily Logs for a Project

Project editors can configure the default Daily Logs settings for the project.

The default Daily Logs settings apply to any Daily Log for this project that you assign. Note that when you schedule a Daily Log, you can override the default settings.

  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. From the upper right-hand corner of the page, click the settings icon , and then select Project Settings.
  3. Click the Daily Logs tab.
  4. Configure the Report Frequency section to determine which days Daily Logs for the project will be required. For any project members who are assigned Daily Logs, Team will automatically create log entries on the indicated days.
    1. In the Report Frequency section, click the edit button .
    2. Click the days of the week that Daily Logs will be required, and then click Save.
  5. Enable and configure weather settings to display the weather in a Daily Log. Weather can be set to a selected zip code, displayed for three different capture times, and displayed in Metric (Celsius) or Imperial (Fahrenheit) units.
    Note: Team displays the weather for the capture times configured in the project settings. However, the actual capture time may differ slightly from the displayed time.
    1. In the Weather section, click the edit button .
    2. Enable weather capture by moving the blue slider bar next to Automatic weather capture to the right.
    3. Configure the weather capture settings by entering details in the Postal code, and Automatic capture times, and selecting Imperial or Metric.
      Note: For projects outside of North America, enter Latitude and Longitude details. You can look up coordinates using https://gps-coordinates.org.
    4. Click Save to save the changes in this section.
  6. In the Log Types section, configure the required fields for one or both of the log types, Company Logs and Subcontractor Logs.
    1. Click the edit button and, then select each section that you want to include in the respective log type.

    2. Click Save to save the changes in this section.
  7. In the Log Entries section, assign Daily Logs to project members using the Add Log button. This section also allows you to edit, activate/deactivate, or delete existing logs.

  8. When you are finished configuring or adding Daily Logs, click Done.
