About Change Orders

Vista™provides a highly integrated way of handling change orders, based in the Project Management module.

Project Management allows you to track multiple types of possible project changes through every stage of the approval process. You can assemble all the information there about how much the contract will be changed, what job phases are affected, and which subcontracts and purchase orders are involved. When the change order is approved, Project Management makes the appropriate entries in the Job Cost change order tables, updates the current estimate in the JC Cost tables, and updates the current contract amounts in the JC Contract tables. It also updates the Subcontract Ledger and Purchase Orders files if required.

Note: If you are not using Project Management, you can enter approved change orders directly in Job Cost, Subcontract Ledger, and Purchase Orders.
