Change the Email Address of a Single Sign-On Account

If after migrating a Trimble Construction One user you discover that the email address needs to be changed or updated for any reason, a Trimble Construction One Enterprise Admin can correct it.

You must log into the Trimble Construction One workcenter and make the necessary change(s) to the email address(es) there first.

The steps on this page apply only to a Trimble Construction One user account that has already been configured and that needs to be changed. If instead you need to set up a new Trimble Construction One user account, see Migrate Users to Trimble Construction One.
Reasons to change the email address could be varied. Possible examples:
  • user name change
  • error or omission
  • a change to the company domain.

There are two paths to choose from, both originating from the VA User Profile form. Both lead to the same result.

  1. Locate the user record.
    • Use the Trimble Construction One Migration utility.
      1. Navigate to Tools > Viewpoint One User Migration.

The Trimble Construction One workcenter opens in your default browser.

      2. Locate the user profile record in question.
Tip: Use the filter options to narrow the list of records.
      3. Click the user's email address.
    • Use the VA User Profile grid.
      1. Locate and select the user profile record in question.
      2. Return to the Info tab.

The Email Address field is disabled and the field name is a hyperlink.

      3. Click the Email Address link.

The Trimble Construction One workcenter opens.

    The Edit Email screen appears.
  2. Make the same changes to the email address as you did in the Trimble Construction One workcenter.
Note: The four-digit code appended to the username was applied automatically upon migration. You may ignore it.
  3. Click Save Changes.
The newly entered email address is now associated with the Trimble Construction One user account.
The user must now use this email address as part of their credentials, and cease using the prior email address.
