Field Definitions: HR Applicant References Form

The following is a list of field descriptions for the HR Applicant References form. Many of the descriptions include links to other topics that provide additional information about or related to the topic.

Resource #

Disabled if this form was accessed from HR Resources.

Enter the resource (as defined in HR Resources) to which this reference applies.

Seq #

Enter the sequence number of an existing entry (1-9999) or enter N, New, or + to add a new sequence. The system will automatically assign the next available sequential number.

Name

Enter the first and last name of this reference, up to 30 characters.

Phone

Enter this reference’s phone number (including dashes), up to 20 characters.

Notes

Use this field to enter miscellaneous notes about this reference or to enter information about the applicant provided by the reference. The space allowance in this box is virtually unlimited.

Note: You can also enter notes by double-clicking the Notes column on the Applicant Reference grid in HR Resources. The Grid Notes form displays, allowing you to enter notes about the reference. Notes entered in the Grid Notes window will be updated to this field.

Add a Standard Note

Standard notes allow you to insert frequently used text into some fields in the application. This text is created and maintained using the HQ Standard Note form.

To insert a standard note into the field, right click the mouse while focus is in the field and select Standard Notes from the shortcut menu, which opens the Standard Note Copy window. Then enter the standard note to copy (or select from F4 lookup) and click OK. The system inserts the selected note into the field.

Spelling Check

Click the Spelling icon on the toolbar or select Tools > Spelling to spell check the text in this field.
