Add Attachments to Equipment

You can add attachments to a piece of equipment in the Attachments tab of the EM Location Transfer form.

When you add an attachment, the system creates a transfer record. In addition, equipment records (in EM Equipment) are updated as follows:

  • The record for the attachment will show the job/location from the transfer. The system also updates the associated equipment in the Comp/Attach tab.

  • The record for the primary piece of equipment will show the attachment in the Attachments tab.

To add attachments to equipment:

  1. In the EM Location Transfer form, click the Attachments tab.
  2. In the Equipment field, enter the equipment to attach or press F4 to select from a list of equipment.
  3. In the Memo field, enter a memo (up to 60 characters) for the attachment transfer.
  4. If the date/time of the attachment transfer is different than the date/time of the primary equipment transfer, select the Override Date Time check box.
  5. In the Date field, enter the effective date for the attachment transfer; in the Time field, enter the time the attachment transfer was effective.

    The date and time must be later than the date and time of the primary equipment transfer.

  6. Save the record.
