About the Revenue Breakdown Tab

This tab is used to define the revenue breakdown codes for each category/revenue code combination.

When first setting up breakdown codes for a revenue code, the system automatically defaults a single breakdown code (using the default Revenue Breakdown Code specified in EM Company Parameters) and applies the total amount of the revenue rate to that code. If the default code is not applicable, then it must be deleted, and another code entered to replace it. Other codes may be added, but the total amount of the breakdown codes must equal the total revenue rate specified for the revenue code.

Example:

Category:  BACKHOE
 Revenue Code:  HOURLY
 Rate:                $85/Hr

Breakdown Code 1: Ownership Cost  $40

Breakdown Code 2: Depreciation Cost  $15

Breakdown Code 3: Fuel Cost  $10

Breakdown Code 4: Maintenance Cost  $20

Sum of Revenue Breakdown codes  $85

Note: If the breakdown total does not equal the override rate and you try to save the record or move off the tab, you will receive a warning that the combined total of breakdown rates does not equal the revenue rate. You will have the option to update the revenue rate. Click ‘Yes’ to adjust the equipment's override rate equal to that of the total breakdown rate. Click ‘No’ to adjust the breakdown rates manually to equal the equipment's override rate.
