Assign Contacts to a Customer

You can assign contacts to a customer using the Contact tab in SM Customers.

You must set up contacts in HQ Contacts before you can assign them to a customer in SM Customers.
The information shown for a contact in SM Customers is display only. If you need to make changes to the contact's information, you must do so in HQ Contacts.

To assign a contact to a customer:

  1. Open the SM Customers form.
  2. In the Customer field, enter the Customer for which to add contacts or press F4 to select from a list of valid customers.
  3. Click on the Contacts tab.
  4. In the Contact Seq field, press F4 and select the contact sequence to add.
  5. Save the record.
    Note: If you are using SM Contacts with Vista Field Service, you can select the contact to receive Trip Closeout email notifications when a trip is closed in the app. Check the Include Trip Close Email box on the Contacts tab for the contact you wish to receive the notification.
