Customize Tabs in Daily Reports and Field Tickets

Create a custom tab with custom fields in Vista for use in Daily Reports and Field Tickets in your portal.

  1. To create a custom tab:
    1. In Vista, select Project Management > Programs > PM Daily Logs.
    2. Select the Info tab.
    3. Right-click on any open area on the form (not in a field), and select Form Properties.
    4. Select the Tab Pages tab.
    5. Select Add.
    6. In Tab Title, enter a name for the custom tab, and select OK.
    7. In Form Properties, you can use the up and down arrows to rearrange the order in which tabs display in Daily Reports or Field Tickets.
    8. Select Close.
      The new tab displays in PM Daily Logs.
  2. In Vista, add a custom field to the new tab. For help, see Create a UD Field for Daily Reports and Field Tickets.
    Important: Custom tabs must contain at least one custom field in order to display in the portal.
  3. To add the custom tab to Daily Reports:
    1. In the portal, select Admin > Portal Settings > Daily Reports > General Configuration.
    2. In the setting Daily Report Customize Tab, enter your custom tab name. Separate multiple tab names with a comma and no spaces. For example: Gen,Sub,CustomTabName.
  4. To add the custom tab to Field Tickets:
    1. In the portal, select Admin > Portal Settings > Field Tickets > General Configuration.
    2. In the setting Field Ticket Tab Selection, select the Edit button. In the Tabs field, enter the custom tab name for the applicable JCCo. Separate multiple tab names with a comma and no spaces. For example: Gen,Sub,CustomTabName. When you are finished, select Save.
  5. Refresh synonyms in the portal by selecting Admin > Portal Settings and then select the Refresh Synonyms button.
    Tip: Refresh synonyms during off-peak hours at your company. The portal may be unavailable for a few minutes during the refresh. After this process is finished, you may need to log out of the portal and then sign in again to see the changes.
