Enter Service Time in Mobile View on the Field Management Mobile App

Enter time for a Service Management work order using mobile view on the Field Management Mobile app.

  1. At the top of the home page in Field Management Mobile, select the pay period for the time entry:
    1. Tap the pay period shown.
      A list of available pay periods displays at the bottom of the page.
    2. Select the applicable pay period.
    3. Tap Done.
  2. On the home page, locate the applicable date for time entries.
    Dates display in a gray bars that divide the timecard into sections.
  3. If service time has already been added for a date, you can tap the existing work order to add time to it.
  4. To add new service lines for a date, on the home page, tap the icon to the right of that date. If the date has no entries yet, you can select Tap to start entering time. In the pop-up window that opens:
    1. Select SM Work Order.
    2. For Clone a previous overhead entry? select either Yes to copy work order, scope, and employee selections from a previous card or No to select the work order, scope, and employees.
  5. To enter time, select the Employees or Scope tabs that display at the bottom of the page.
  6. If you select the Employee tab, you can select any employee to access the following options:
    Note: If you need to add employees for this entry, select + Add an Employee at the top of the page.
    • Remove Employee Time: Removes the selected employee from your timecard for this day.
    • Add/Edit a Note: Allows you to add a note to a scope for the selected employee. After you submit time, this option changes to View Note, allowing you to review but not edit submitted notes.
    • Edit Line Details: Allows you to modify the class or craft (if enabled) and change the shift. After you submit time, this option changes to View Line Details, allowing you to review but not edit the employee's craft, class, or shift for submitted time.
    • Time Allocation: Opens a list of pay types per scope for the selected employee. Use the Collapse All option at the top of the page to scroll to the desired scope and enter time. To allocate the same hours to multiple scopes for this employee, select the Bulk Allocation tab. After you submit time, this option changes to View Time Allocation, allowing you to review but not edit submitted hours for a phase.
    • Clock Entry: Allows you to enter clock-in and clock-out times for the selected employee or bulk clock-in / clock-out times for multiple employees. To delete time, select the trash can icon to the right of that time entry. After you submit time, the Clock Entry option changes to View Clock Entries, allowing you to review but not edit submitted clock hours.
      Note: The Time Clock feature is optional and not required for timecard submission. If you do use this feature, all time must be allocated and all employees clocked out in order to submit time.
  7. If you select the Scope tab, you can select any scope to access the following options:
    Note: If you need to add a scope for this entry, select + Add Scope at the top of the page.
    • Remove Scope Time: Removes the selected scope from your timecard for this day.
    • Add/Edit a Note: Allows you to add a note to a specific employee’s line. After you submit time, this option changes to View Note, allowing you to view but not edit submitted notes.
    • Change Cost Type: Allows you to change the cost type on a scope. After you submit time, this option changes to View Cost Type, allowing you to review but not edit submitted cost type information.
    • Time Allocation: Allows you to see all employees and pay types for the selected scope. Use the Collapse All option at the top of the page to scroll to the desired scope and enter time. To allocate the same hours to multiple scopes for this employee, select the Bulk Allocation tab. After you submit time, this option changes to View Time Allocation, allowing you to review but not edit submitted hours.
  8. To enter time for a different date in the current pay period:
    1. Select the date at the top of the time entry page.
      The Timecard date change page opens.
    2. Select the date for your time entries.
      The system returns to the time entry page with the newly-selected date at the top.
    3. Enter time as needed.
  9. After you are finished entering time and are ready to send for approval or processing, select Submit in the upper right. For more details, see Submit Time on the Field Management Mobile App.
