Limit Benefit Options by Group

You may have a benefit code that has options (rates) that are available for a select group of employees. Instead of splitting the benefit code, you can assign each benefit option to a specific benefit group.

  1. In Vista, create benefit groups for the option you need to exclude. See Configure Benefit Groups for details.
  2. In Vista, select Human Resources > Programs > HR Benefit Codes, select the Benefit Options tab, and assign the new benefit groups to the benefit option.
  3. In HR Management, select Employee Tools > Benefit Assignments, and assign the users to the new benefit group.
Note: The benefit code must still be assigned to a benefit group.
  4. Verify that the code is available to those assigned to the benefit group and hidden from those who are assigned the code but not the option.
