Subscribe a User to a Folder

Administrators can subscribe users to a folder so that they are notified of changes made to it and its sub-folders by going to Projects > Documents > Actions button and selecting Edit Subscriptions.

Note: An individual must be added as a project contact before they can be subscribed to a folder.
  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Select the Documents tab.
  3. Select the Subscribe check box next to each folder you want to subscribe the user to.
  4. Click the Actions button and select Edit Subscriptions.
The Manage Folder Subscriptions window appears.
  5. Enter a name, organization or email in the Search field to locate the user you want to subscribe to the folder.
  6. Click Save.
The user you have subscribed to a folder will be notified of any changes (uploads, edits, revisions, deletions, etc.) made to the folder that you have subscribed them to, and any of its sub-folders.
Note: Subscriptions inherit throughout the folder tree; subscribing a user to a top-level folder also subscribes them to all sub-folders. Additionally, older notifications are batched; as a result, users you have subscribed to a folder will receive one combined email listing changes per folder, per hour.
Users who have been subscribed to a folder can unsubscribe by going to Projects > Documents > Unsubscribe.
