Upload a New Version of a Document

You can upload a new version of a document by going to Projects > Documents > More > Edit.

You cannot change the file type, which means the new version must have the same file extension as the original. The document name within Viewpoint Team™ doesn't change, even if the new version has a different name. To change the file name, see Rename a Document.
You can upload files using any of the following techniques:
  • Upload load the file by clicking Upload New Version and navigating to it.
  • Drag and drop the file onto the Edit Document window.
  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Select the Documents tab.
  3. Navigate to and select the check box for the document you want to upload a new version of.
  4. Click the More button and select Edit.
    The Edit Document window appears.
  5. (Optional) In the Name field, enter the new name for the document file.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Drag and drop the new file onto the Edit Document window.
    • Click Upload New Version, then navigate to the files to upload, select the files to upload, and click Open.
  7. Click Save.
