Make a Work Item Public

As a Project Editor, you can make a work item visible to the entire project team by going to Visibility > Public. All work items are private by default and visible only to the people on them.

Collaborators can always see the work items they have created even when they are closed or set to private.

You can make multiple work items from the same project public at once. See Make Multiple Work Items Public.

  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. Click the tab of the work item type you want to work with (submittal, RFI, issue).
  3. Click the number for the work item you want to work with.
Note: The number appears in blue text and becomes underlined when you mouse over it.
The page for that work item appears.
  4. Click the Public button under the Visibility section.
Public is highlighted and appears bold.
The project team can now see the work item.
