Vista 2023 R2.02

This release includes updates to selected Canadian reports to support CPP2, an updated tax routine for Iowa, and defect fixes that apply to all geographies.

2024 Updated Tax Routine for Iowa (US only)

This routine contains changes that required release via service pack; therefore, it will not be available in a tax update. You must install this service pack to get this routine.

Effective Date: 1/1/2024

Procedure Name: bspPRIAT24

Per changes to withholding and the IA W-4 for tax year 2024, Iowa is no longer using number of exemptions. Instead, you are now required to specify an exemption amount. Use the Misc Amount #1 field in PR Employees, Filing status tab to enter the exemption amount from the employee's IA W-4.

Note: The Misc Amount #1 field defaults to 0.00. If you leave this field set to 0.00 (for example, if the employee's W-4 is incomplete), the payroll process sets the exemption amount to 40.00.

For additional information, see the Iowa section of the Payroll tax tables.
